About Us
The therapists at Madison Physical and Occupational Therapy are experts of human movement. We will systematically assess your condition, evaluate how it impacts your daily function, address it's underlying mechanisms (usually there is more than one) and provide you with long-term solutions.
You will get solutions to your problem right from day one. That's why more than 95% of our patients rate us 10/10 in their confidence in referring their friends and family to us. That is something we are very proud of.
The treatment techniques we use provide pain relief; decrease muscle spasm; reduce swelling; promote soft-tissue (i.e., muscle, tendon, ligament, bursa, cartilage) healing; recover strength; improve joint stability; restore movement and range of motion; improve and correct posture; and optimize endurance, balance, and coordination.
We will help you develop an exercise program (we are especially good for those of you who think you can't exercise because of pain, weakness, injury or a balance problem) that can be performed at home, at the office, at the gym, and even while traveling. We encourage exercise programs during treatments, because we feel this is the best way for a person to take an active role in his/her own healthcare.
We believe that the body has a natural ability to heal itself. We help our patients create an environment of healing in their bodies. We help them understand what they should do to encourage the healing, and provide alternative solutions for things that they shouldn't.
In the event we cannot quickly (on most occasions within 2 to 3 visits) be of value, we are knowledgeable in referring you to the appropriate person who can. We regularly eliminate your need for medication use, expensive and time-consuming radiological tests, and lost time from work and social activities.
